South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) hTrak Rolling On

SESLHD has implemented hTrak in the Medical Imaging Department at the Prince of Wales Hospital, going live with the system on 9 May 2016. The support and dedication of the Medical Imaging staff and their enthusiasm for the change played a massive role in the success of the implementation.

The department provides a comprehensive medical imaging service to adult and paediatric inpatients and outpatients of The Prince of Wales and Sydney Children’s Hospitals, Randwick, as well as services to the following:

• The Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick
• The Prince of Wales Private Hospital, Randwick
• The War Memorial Hospital, Waverley
• Long Bay Correctional Complex, Little Bay
• The Gower Wilson Memorial Hospital, Lord Howe Island

The next department to implement will be the Billington Centre (Endoscopy) followed by the Operating Theatres at Prince of Wales. If the Medical Imaging project can be replicated in the other departments, there is no doubt SESLHD will continue to make excellent progress on their goals to automate their processes and capture quality data on their procedures across the district.
