Patient Safety Champions came together in Manchester in October

For the first time since the pandemic, over 800 clinicians, nursing and senior managers with the remit for patient safety in their hospitals met in Manchester on 24th & 25th October for the HSJ Patient Safety Congress. Our UK team attended as exhibitors to support the NHS Patient Safety agenda and meet key Patient Safety champions, some of whom are already users of h-trak.

Now in its 15th year, the HSJ Patient Safety Congress is the prominent event to bring together all stakeholders across the health and care spectrum to debate the most critical patient safety issues and share practical solutions to enable progress and spearhead the collective drive to advance the national agenda.

With the appointment of the first Patient Safety Commissioner for England and as well as over 700 new Patient Safety Specialist roles across the country, this event served as a key part of the UK’s national commitment of putting safety and quality at the heart of patient care.

Our team were able to share experiences of h-trak transforming theatre management processes, capturing procedure and medical devices information, and with its ‘track and trace’ functionality providing a vital patient safety role in rapid product recall.  There were several really fruitful conversations around how h-trak can support GS1 Scan4Safety transformations and supplement existing safety measures across various clinical settings.
