Macquarie University Hospital goes live with h-trak system in the Operating Theatres
Prospitalia h-trak is delighted to announce that the h-trak system has gone live at the Macquarie University Hospital. The project commenced in August in 2022, and the Operating Theatres is the first department to go live in the rollout that also includes the Angio Suite, Endoscopy and the trans-oesophageal echocardiogram (TOE) departments.
A core component of the implementation includes Prospitalia h-trak’s unique Preference Card Management System, which will seamlessly address the end-to-end processes from patient booking and setup of procedures, through to the supply chain management and replenishment of critical supplies used in these high-cost procedure settings. Some 1,000 preference cards have been digitised in the h-trak system as part of the theatres implementation.
The implementation also includes interfaces to the TechOne Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and the TrakCare Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Stage 2 of the implementation will now include the rollout to the other departments, and additional integrations to TrakCare EMR to include the electronic upload of implants used on patients, and to TechOne to receive “Goods Receipt Notifications” (GRNs).
